Getting Started

To get the best results with your Newspaper Theme, should consider activating your license. Typically after three days from the installation, you’ll see a red warning asking you to activate the theme. Don’t worry! It’s a simple and straight forward process.

Access your Envato account to retrieve your Envato purchase code, and open the license file.

How to Activate the Newspaper theme: Finding Your Envato Licence Key

When you activate the Newspaper theme, you should know that:

  • The theme does not overwrite any settings;
  • Moreover, the theme doesn’t record any of your personal information;
  • All warnings go away, and you’ll have all the power of the Newspaper Theme ready to help you succeed with your project.

Moreover, you can activate the theme in multiple locations. The same purchase key can be used to activate your development copies and also the live version of your theme. For more information regarding the theme installation, go here.

To activate the Newspaper theme:

  • 1 – Go to the Dashboard area> Newspaper> ‘Activate Theme’ section.
  • 2 – Enter your Envato Purchase Code in the required area.
  • 3 –  Press the ‘Activate Theme’ button.

  • 4: Create a Customer Support Center (forum) account by adding a username, email, password and confirmation details.

Note: If you already have a forum user created, the last prompt is not available.

If you own multiple licenses of the theme, you do not need to create multiple forum accounts, as you can add your extra Envato keys to the existing account and the theme activation skips the forum registration requirement.

Now, your Newspaper Theme is activated and you can access and use all the features, including the tagDiv Cloud Library. And if you want to update to a newer version of the theme, you can do so at any given time. Follow through this tutorial to find out the steps you need to take to update.

    I am looking to purchase the NewsPaper Theme but before purchase, i have few doubts or confusions related to the theme activation or envato purchase code. 

    My doubt is, 

    Q 1. if i purchase the theme from themeforest and i don’t have any website domain yet so can i install & activate the newspaper theme on localhost xampp with envato purchase code to 1st develop my website on localhost? and then can i activate the same theme lateron to the (live server) after i buy the new website domain.?

    Q 2. After the purchase, Can i also transfer my newspaper theme from my 1st domain to my 2nd new domain & activate it on 2nd new domain.?

    Request you to please clear these doubts so that i could think about purchasing & start developin theme

      Sorry for the delay and thank you for your interest in our theme.

      1. The license key can be assigned to two websites at the same time, a main website and a testing/staging website. So it is possible to activate the theme on your localhost and on your main website when needed.

      2. If you don’t have a website yet, you could also develop the website directly on the domain that you will be purchasing. This way you won’t have to build it locally and then transfer it. And we will also be able to provide better support if we can see the website, log in, etc. But if you want/have to develop it locally, then this is possible as well. When it is ready you can move it to the main website.

  2. Whenever i tried to install newspaper theme on my wordpress website i cant able to edit the theme Editor and also while writing a post it cant be save it shows json response error. How solve this error ?

  3. Hi

    I have installed the theme and I can’t see activate menu under the NewsPaper menu. Whenever I try to activate my theme I see a message that I don’t have permission to do this.

    How can I activate and import?

  5. Hello there tagdiv theme i just want to remove my domain in newpaper theme in other word i want to add an another license in newspaper theme which I bought today but i cant unregister the site on the newspaper activated theme

  8. hi i would like to revoke activation code , i already added for 2 website, so I need to revoke one of my license key from the website is it possible ?

      The key can be assigned to 2 websites at the same time. If you want to assign the key to other websites, for some reason, you can unassign the key from the current ones https://prnt.sc/ZNQngvJB4XCS and then assign it to others. But please note that there will be a time delay when doing this. This delay was added to try and prevent piracy and abuse of this option. In case there is a problem, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide the key so we can check it.

  9. Doubts about the Newspaper template update, I already have my site in production and everything works fine, I get a message that there is an update, if I update, the configuration of my site and the modifications in the front end remain the same?

  12. Dear Sir/Madam Can i use one license code of Newspaper X to use in multiple domains or i have to buy separate codes for separate domains???

      Thank you for the given interest. You can activate the theme in multiple locations. You could use the same purchase key to activate your development copies and also the live version of your theme.     A friend gave me a newspaper template and I installed it on Word Press and started working on it, but there is a problem facing me which is requesting the purchase code, I entered the purchase code but it was rejected, what should I do?     I wasn’t the one that downloaded the file direclty, someone sent me the downloaded Newspaper themeforest and currently, I have no download on my envato account yet. How else can I purchase this theme so as to get the Envato code for activaation?

    My web designer purchased this site 3 years ago, and I’ve been using it ever since, however, he never activated it, so I have purchased the theme again and I input the new activation code into it, is says Envanto API is down can’t verify, so i tried manual, with the server id, the new purchase code and the TagDiv code, I input it and it said code invalid, what do I do now?

Original License is very Expensive, I wanted to ask If I can buy it from sites who provide GPL licensed premium themes and plugins in cheap or free newspaper theme provided on various site. can you please tell me about upside or downside of doing so as I don’t want backdoors or any kind of malacious stuff on my site.

      We recommend to acquire the theme only from the official source, which is themeforest https://themeforest.net/item/newspaper/5489609 Envato will provide a license key which can be used to activate the theme, there is no other way around this. It will also guarantee that the theme is safe to use. We also cannot provide support for themes that are not purchased from themeforest and activated with a valid key.

  23. I bought this theme on a website that is said to be officially a member, but why when I use this theme I am asked for a license code and I ask the website owner he says he doesn’t have to enter the code.

  24. I bought this topic for a newspaper, but it will be installed on a test server before going into production with a different domain, my question is if by migrating the site to the new server I lose the license and should I buy another license for the new server

      Normally, the Envato policy allows using a theme only on one install. You can, however, use the theme on a sub-domain if you plan on creating a testing site, but if we are talking about totally different sites with different content, then only one theme per install is legally allowed.
