Hi there,
I’ve set up a background image on my online magazine (please see http://www.ntr24.tv) along with its background “on click” destination URL. The first thing I’ve noticed is that if I click on the skin upper part (please see the yellow part in evidence of http://screencast.com/t/uFzB6HR1XH) the link doesn’t work while, if I click somewhere else on the skin, it works perfectly surfing on the destination ads publisher page. Why?
Moreover (it could be considered as a “nice to have”) I’ve also noticed that the mouse cursor doesn’t change from arrow in a “little hand shape” on skin mouse over: is there a method to get it?
Thanks in advance for any appreciated help.

Hi
Check this link, I’ve posted a similar solution there: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/background-ad-has-no-hover-icon-to-indicate-link/
Let me know how it goes.
Thanks!
Hi Andrei,
thank you very much indeed: background skin and mouse pointer shape now work perfectly and as expected! Just one question: why do you advice to insert the custom CSS code by means of the theme panel rather than adding it directly in the Newsmag style.css file?
May be adding it by means of theme panel will preserve it from overwriting on theme update?
Thanks in advance for any appreciated and precious help.
Giuseppe
Hi Andrei,
using the site after the your proposed modification of the CSS custom code which seem to work fine at first glance, we have noticed that it unfortunately causes bad side effects on the new created posts because it cuts off the upper side of the posts (please see http://wp-dev-ntr24-31ba64cdf656650e14f1f97f34ac243d.ntr24.tv/2016/03/23/benevento-alla-camera-di-commercio-la-presentazione-del-giro-ditalia-day-2/) or its screenshot http://screencast.com/t/LZrwkKOTgq:
as you can see, some part of the post title is cutted off because the post itself appears to be shifteed upwards therefore hiding some part of the post frame.
The complete title of the post is instead http://screencast.com/t/oXahLMMy0rqQ.
What could be wrong?
Thanks in advance for any appreciated help.

Hi
We recommend adding the css in theme panel > custom css field because it’s a easier way to do it then in style.css file and also the code will remain there when the theme it’s updated.
Use this css to correct the scroll down a bit the post’s content: http://screencast.com/t/n3A8EBt0g
.td-container{
top: 95px;
}
Thanks!
Hi Andrei, good job!
I’ve managed to make the upper part of the skin “cliccable” and also to preserve the post visualization. Now the upper part of the skin is cliccable on PC (even if I resize the browser window reducing its viewport width) but on the iPad. In fact tapping the skin on an iPad doesn’t fire the linked URL as expected. What could be the problem?

Hi Andrei,
I’m not sure to have well understood the meaning of your reply: I’m sure that on my test site (http://wp-dev-ntr24-31ba64cdf656650e14f1f97f34ac243d.ntr24.tv) I’ve added the background image by means of the Newsmag->Theme panel->Background settings (please see http://screencast.com/t/KWrHk2tUN1Z) and the skin URL Newsmag->Theme panel->ADS->Background ad click (please see http://screencast.com/t/PD52RHolcL60). So what I’ve done wrong?
Thanks in advance for your kindness and availability.

Hi
When the background image it’s added from theme panel > background the theme switch in boxed mode and backstretch class it’s added on the page: http://screencast.com/t/lRo8Rbg8H From what I can see in your page source the backstretch is missing and the background image it’s added with css: http://screencast.com/t/vdhcuYm7WLK
Make sure you added the background according with our documentation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-background-introduction/ deactivate all plugins, clear all caches, purge cdn files and test again.
Thanks!
Hi,
I’m running Newsmag 3.0 and all worked correctly until the last update to WordPress 4.6.1 of the last week. Now the background image link doesn’t work anymore (please see http://www.ntr24.tv/) and the mouse pointer shape doesn’t change from arrow to “little hand” on skin mouse over event. In the past, to get the mouseover behaviour, on your advice, the following custom CSS was placed in the Newsmag theme panel, but it does seem not to work anymore:
body {
cursor: pointer!important;
}
.td-top-menu-full, .td-header-container, .td-container, .td-sub-footer-container{
cursor: default!important
}
.vc_col-has-fill>.vc_column-inner{ padding-top: 0; } .wpb_gallery .flexslider { margin: 0 0 0; }
.td_block_14 .td-next-prev-wrap{ z-index: 1; }
As you can see from the home page skin, the shape of mouse pointer changes only on the right and left sides of the skin while it erroneously remains an arrow on mouse over on the top of the skin. Could you advice how can I get the skin right behaviour as well as to get working the background image link?
Thanks in advance for any appreciated help.
