Hi,
if I put a video in the editor section of a post using ‘add media’ button , is there a way to use the thumb of this video as the featured image of the post ?

Unfortunately the theme don’t have an option to set a featured video form media library. At the moment only videos from youtube or vimeo can be set as featured video: http://screencast.com/t/PLaRgXIO
We consider extending theme’s functionality and in future we may add this options between theme’s features. However I can’t promise anything in this regard as we have a long implementation list and we have to pick carefully what we implement as the user must always get what is best from us.
