My web guy is in Bangladesh, so his English is a little broken. Here is what he wanted me to ask you:
“what is the code to get page or post url the_permalink(); this is not working”
It sounds like when you use the custom function, the code “the_permalink” isn’t working. So he needs the code.
Any insight you could provide would be helpful.

Our theme does not use the_permalink function but rather http://screencast.com/t/ezK8PurAD for modules and http://screencast.com/t/ivRAhUNe for posts or in some cases get_permalink: http://screencast.com/t/auKWnxX2ep
