image thumbnail 4:3 and 16:9 does not fit

Hi there – on the category pages the preview thumbnails that belong to a post sometimes needs 16:9 and sometimes 4:3. This causes, that I have a white border in some cases on the image area, what does not look good.

How can I make shure that all images fill 100% of the image area on these overview pages? What options do I have?

Hi,
Please make sure your images are big enough to fit the containers and then let the theme cropping system work it’s magic. There should not be any white or grey boxes in your thumbnails. If this is the case, please follow this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/
If you still have issues with thumbs after using the guide, please provide a link to your site so we can inspect it.
Thank you!

thank you that worked.
The problem was that I uploaded the images via the pixabay plugin from pixabay.
Is there a possibility to directly scale it correctly when I upload it via the pixabay plugin or do I need always to use “Regenerate Thumbnails”?

Hi,
Unfortunately we have not tested the pixbay plugin so we have no idea of it’s functionality. We recommend the default implementation of the images as that is the method tested to work 100%. I suspect that by adding images through a plugin, the theme will not create the thumbnails needed for the containers so that is why it will require regeneration of the thumbnails.
Thank you!
