If I use WordPress Meta widget I can edit articles when visiting the website as admin.
The Newspaper theme allows one to edit thumbnails when visiting the website as admin even without using wordpress meta widget https://gyazo.com/169d6efe66b89136f5d2629714f47c31
My question is, is there any way to configure the theme so that it allows editing articles also just like it allows editing thumbnails when visiting the website as admin (meaning without using wordpress meta widget)?
Hope this question is clear. If not, let me know. thanks.
Hi,
The edit buttons are not for editing the thumbnails at all. If you press the edit button on an element, you will go to the edit screen of the post itself, not the thumbnail for it. If the wordpress meta widget does the same thing, you can remove it as our theme already has this option.
Thank you!
If that does the job, great, but the problem is, the theme only does it *before* you enter the article. Once you are in, no images or buttons for editing the article. And as you know, often we end up wanting to edit an article while reading it. I don’t see any way to do it without using the WordPress meta widget. Any trick? That’s the question. Hope this is more clear. thanks.
Hi,
If you are logged in you have the WP top bar and a big EDIT POST button: http://screencast.com/t/UOkA4udD
Thank you!
For me it’s different although I have enabled the top header https://gyazo.com/9d6b6668ebda8be8cf9bf39aabb4296b
Which version is this? I am still using 6.6.5
