This is a very serious problem, the license attribution is required by law of copyright, I do not want to have problems with the law for copyright.
Just look on the forum to see that we are many users to have the same problem “the image # 1 could not be loaded” when you would like this problem will be solved, if it can not be resolved I would like to know because it means that I have to go to another theme have no problems for the copyright of images.
This is urgent, please let serves a fix

You can set any link in caption filed as the modal image won’t be affected by it, however the image’s link must be set to media file: http://screencast.com/t/6ztG72AS Modal images won’t work if you set a different link for them. This is not a bug form the theme, it is current implementation for modal image, it requires its link set to media file. This is also the case on smart-lists.

Your example does not solve the problem because caption “https://www.google.ro/” is not a clickable link
The copyright rules require to have clickable links, this is an example of what you write in caption to be in order:

This causes malfunction in the image galleries (td gallery) and all smart list 1-2-3-4

I’m sorry but if there is no solution i have to change theme, I do not want to have copyright legal problems for my site.
I fixed the bug, in the files “td_wp_booster_functions.php” for image gallery and in the files “td_smart_list_1.php – td_smart_list_2.php – td_smart_list_3.php – td_smart_list_4.php” for smart-list to move (figcaption) out of the box <figure> < / figure>
