After WordPress updated at V 4.5 there appeared a jQuery conflict in our theme, also older version of VC won’t work with it. We fixed this conflict and the current theme version available on themeforest works fine, also we included last version of Visual Composer plugin.
Try to update the theme at current version available on themeforest, also update Visual Composer at V 4.11.2 following our documentation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-the-theme/ – https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/ deactivate all other plugins, clear all caches and test again.

You have to go to :
Visual Composer (TAB)
then,
Role Manager
– Considering that you are the Administrator –
You have to change :
Post Types to Custom & click both check boxes (post & page)
then,
exactly below,
there is the BackEnd Editor
Disable the Classic editor…
Now you have to go to every post you made and remove the Featured Image and insert them again.
Later….. you have to be familiar with the “Visual Composer”…… as i have to do the same…

My post images are not loading, but my page images are. I thought I had messed up the single.php file by adding an adsence code there, but even when I restored it the problem persists. I noticed that there was a wordpress update just before the date I restored to. I have not updated my newsmag theme yet. Waiting for my webmaster to be available. Is this the reason too? Also Visual composer does not work either.

@darkstarmarina after WordPress released V 4.5 there appeared a jQuery conflict and older version then 2.3.6 are affected by it. This is also the case for older version Visual Composer. Try to update the theme and the plugin at latest versions available on themeforst then test again.
