How to paginate long pages?

I’m not sure if this topic has been discussed before but I couldn’t find anything on this forum.

I am making a manual on something using pages instead of posts. Thus, most pages are very very long and I would like to break a page into multiple pages – a feature that you can easily do on posts by using the page break function (alt+ctrl+p). I have also tried <!-nextpage-> but unfortunately that doesn’t work on pages.

Could anyone please tell me how to do this?
