I’m trying to embed a YouTube video in a post but when I publish the code gets deleted – is there a reason this happens?

For youtube you only have to paste the youtube link inside the post content. This is a main wordpress feature. If for some reason this does not work, please disable all your plugins except visual composer, clear cache and purge cdn files if you use it.
Then check the youtube embed again.

Thank you. It doesn’t work with Facebook videos. With other themes I’ve used, inserting FB embed code displays the video on my website but this one automatically deletes it when I publish.
