Lightbox Effect Stopped Working

Hi, this morning I updated Visual Composer and installed TagDev Speed Booster and since that time our images no longer pop-up with lightbox effect. I have Simple Lightbox installed and this no longer works and I ahve tried others.

Any ideas to get this wokring again – for example http://www.viewpointsandreviews.com/george-inn-molash/ these images are now opening in new pages and not light box.

the ‘TagDev Speed Booster’ not compatible with Simple Lightbox, deactivated and it should work.

Thanks Radu, all working now that I have disabled the plugin. Is there any lightbox style plugin that works with the speedbooster yet?

Responsive Lightbox by dFactory works very well with the Newspaper theme and all associated plugins/features. It’s also free and available from your plugins menu.

Thnaks for the heads up on dFactory. Unfortuantely I can’t get that to work either with Speedbooster. I ahve now gone back to the original one and unintsalled SpeedBooster.

Check it again. I use speed booster and that lightbox plugin with Newspaper 3.7 and WP 3.9 – works perfectly. Therefore it’s pretty certain that your problem isn’t speed booster.

Lightbox was working when I clicked the link to your site just now. Maybe you’ve changed it already.

But to be honest with you, your site is running pretty fast as-is. The lightbox you’re using could be faster but most come with different styles or methods and simply switching that around could make the difference, or optimizing your images. So yes, you have an unknown issue with speedbooster that’s not tied to your lightbox plugin but speedbooster isn’t gaining you any ground anyway. Nice site sir.

Yes I reinstalled Simple Lightbox. I also added other settings to increase speed via the htaccess and ensured compression was on at server level. I agree the lightbox I am using could be faster and I may go back and try dfactory again.

There is also issues with JavaScript which I think are related to DiggDigg social media like buttons along the side and I am looking for a replacement for this.
