For some reason Visual Composer is not letting me edit my home page. When I go to Edit Home Page, it just shows spinning wheel, then eventually stops.
I disabled all 3rd party plugins, but no changes.

Since Visual Composer came with this theme, where do I go to update it? It doesn’t show as needing and update in the plugins section, but I don’t have a license number to download the new version from Theme Forest without purchasing.
Where should I download, or do I have to buy VC?

i have x the theme and visual composer work with this theme. with newspaper the visual composer not work.

Hello all,
Please keep in mind that Visual Composer come bundled with our theme and you will have to use only the version which comes with the theme to achieve better results. Our latest version of the theme is Newspaper 7.1.1 and the right version for required plugins are -> Visual Composer 4.11.2 and Social Counter 4.1. First of all, you will have to delete the old version of Visual Composer from the Plugins area and then install the VC from the Premium Plugins area, which comes bundled with the theme.
Please notice that the Visual Composer is fully tested with our theme and works as expected.

I ran into this problem also. Disabling All In One WordPress Security resolved it.
Now I’m looking at alternative security products like WordFence or iThemes Security.
