Hi,
i’d like to replace the slider on the home page of my site…
…with an advert (of a similar size). Though it’s easy to do in visual composer for an individual page i want this advert to also appear in this same position across the entire site, on article display pages and post pages.
Is there some code i can insert in the ‘loop’ file (or elsewhere) to make this possible?

Hi,
If you want the same slider to appear across the whole site you can add it in the header files. Depending on the header style that you use: http://screencast.com/t/6blkMnuZYl You can use a do_shortcode function: https://developer.wordpress.org/reference/functions/do_shortcode/
