Social Links

After we post an article on our site we send out a link to the article via social media to promote it. If the user is on a mobile device and either sees this link via one of their social media apps (twitter, Facebook) and clicks it from there it opens the site within the app but the mobile CSS is not recognized and the site looks terrible. However, if you go to the browser on your mobile device and navigate to the same link it views fine.

What is the reason for the CSS not functioning as it should via a link from a social app on a mobile device? Looking to fix asap as this is how we gain a lot of our traffic.

Thanks,

Hello drae,

Unfortunately, until now we have not made any tests in this regard and we have no idea about what type of method you are referring to, what type of app do you mean? Please provide more details in this regard, because we cannot recreate and we do not know how to recreate this behaviour to see where is a problem.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for your message!

Hello drae,

First of all, please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins.
I have checked your website in the mobile mode and I saw that you have the Chinese symbols instead of social icons and mobile menu. Usually, this kind of error appears when using CDN or loading fonts from a different source.
The solution to this issue is simple. You will need to add some code to your .htaccess file like this post suggests: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/strange-chinese-symbols-replaced-icons-and-arrows/

Hope this helps.

Thanks for your understanding!
