Hi,
I’m trying to install the Revolution Slider v5 as per the instructions here>>> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-install-revolution-slider-v5/ but after I press install I just get this message ‘504 Gateway Time-out. The server didn’t respond in time’.
I’ve tried it a few times in different browsers but no joy. Any help/ideas would be appreciated?

Thanks Bogdan, can you tell me how to access the wordpress root directory please?
I’ve never used WordPress before and can’t see anywhere where I can change code. I’m using the Newspaper 7 template if that makes any difference?

You will need ftp access to your theme files and you can find the root directory on your server. Please aks your hosting provider for more details.

I’ve upgraded the hosting package which has now doubled the php memory size but still get the same message. The website in question is http://www.bv-online.com/
Can you recommend anything else? I really need to get the slider working.

I’m not sure why you receive the error but have you tried to manually add the plugin to the plugins folder of wp using FTP? If everything else fails this is the way to go: http://www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/step-by-step-guide-to-install-a-wordpress-plugin-for-beginners/
