I have a Instagram widget on a page and when I click the image on a iPhone and I have the Instagram app it opens Instagram/p (which is some private profile) instead of the path to the image.
The usual path to the image is https://www.instagram.com/p/SOMETHING but it get some how truncated to /p

My site is http://riders.live/
Down at the left side is a Instagram picture. If you browse the site via PC and click on the picture you will be redirected to Instagram and the picture will be shown. But if you browse http://riders.live/ via iOS device WITH Instagram APP installed, when clicking to the image you will be redirected to a private profile because some how the link is truncated.

Hi

I’ve checked this on my side on iPhone 6S+ with iOS 9.3.2 and works fine. When I clicked on Instagram widget I been redirected to your Instagram page.
I assume that there is an incompatibility between Safari and Instagram application so if you get this error:
safari cannot open the page because the address is invalid try to close all aps then test the again.
This issue is not related with our theme, it is most likely caused by an incompatibility between softwares.

Thanks!

Do you have Instagram app installed ? This is only for Instagram app and not the browser itself. When you click on the widget it goes to the Instagram page, but when you click on the image itself it goes to a private profile “/p”

Hi

Yes we tested your site with Instagram application installed on iPhone but we didn’t got any error or redirect to a private profile. The theme does not set any redirect for embedded links. Try to test this with a different link or on different devices and check if the problem is still there.

Thanks!
