Hide category tags on post

I need to hide some category tags on posts but the theme panel doesn´t work properly.
It seems like it save settings but the category tag is shown yet.

i have just tested this option and it worked:

show category:

try disabling all of your plugins and try again, conflicts may happen between theme and the theme.
