How to change the Section ID in Big Grid 5

There is a long string of letters and numbers that identify the section in Big Grid 5. I don’t see where to change those sections. I would like to remove “Sports” and link it to another category but I don’t know where to find that string of numbers for the category.

Hello,
If you want to filter your block to show posts from another category, you can do that from block settings: https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-guide/ Unfortuantely there is no way of changing one section at a time. All of the big grid is a whole and you cannot change individual sections to show different categories.
Thank you!

I do understand that I can not filter individual categories. I also understand the instructions in the link you provided. I am very familiar with this theme (and love it!).

The website is not published yet, but here are the images of the section I am trying to format. It is the “Section ID” (the first image in the link below) that I am trying to change. I would like to change the category of these posts so that when people click on them, they go to the appropriate category.

Hi,

As I see from your images you use a big grid inside a tab element. You do not need to change the section id from the tabs settings to filter the block .You do it from block settings. Tabs are simple containers for other content. You cannot make them lead to specific categories. I’m still not sure exactly how you want it. Sorry if I’m not getting this right. You want to make the tabs a link so when you click on the fashion or sports tab to lead to a category? Won’t this make the tab’s content unavailable for the user? The section ID cannot be made into a link as the section ID is added automatically by visual composer and it cannot accept any other parameters.
Let me know if I did not get this right and provide more details so we can better understand how to help.

Thank you!

I am sorry if I am not conveying the question correctly. Perhaps these images will help.

The categories are clickable links that pull up content. How do I set the blocks so that the appropriate content appears when the user clicks on it..so they get what they expect?

Hi,
The tabs have these titles set to them .you can set anything you want as a tab title. If you want them to represent categories, that’s fine. but you cannot add a category to the tab itself. You have to filter the content inside the tab to show the specific category. That means you have to access block settings and set each block or grid to a particular category. but this has to be done from the blocks, not the tabs themselves. Tabs are just containers for other elements. They have no tie to any posts or categories. It’s the content you place inside the tabs that has to be filtered.
Thank you!
