I need to add something in the same area as the page title (right aligned)… only on the front page though

whats the best way of doing this? I’ve copied the template and I’m attempting to add my content, but it isn’t showing up.

You have to edit page-pagebuilder-title.php file and add the code in the case which corresponds with sidebar’s position for that page: http://screencast.com/t/onVhyUOK61 Note that you will also need some css customizations in order to achieve the deserted result. This task involve some codding skills and if you’re not aware of the steps that must be taken in this regard my advice is to look for someone who can help you with implementation as we can’t offer custom work.
