Also edit with TD Composer link just goes to a Blank white page.

Try to deactivate all plugin except Visual Composer, clear all caches then test the site again. Then activate TD Composer and check how it works. Note that the plugin is still a beta and is best to try it on a test wp-install. just to make sure that it won’t break site’s functionality. There might be a conflict between TD Composer and other plugin that you have installed in your wp.
The best environment for testing would be on a sub-domain with a fresh wp-install with this configuration:
– last version of wordpress
– last version of Newsmag (we did extensive testing and development on Newspaper but it should also work on Newsmag)
– TD Composer plugin
– optionally you can install Visual Composer.
