Unfortunately, our theme does not have such an option for it, sorry! Please notice that this type of error is encountered when you have some problems with your hosting provider (HTTP Error 500 Internal server error) and you cannot target this type of error which do not come from WordPress. To achieve as you wish, first of all, you will have to detect this error and then you will have to create an own template for it. Please notice that you cannot detect this error because it does not exist this type of function to do so. As you can see, regarding on 404 error still exists in WordPress a checker for it, like so -> is_404.

I can create a 500.php page and use htaccess to redirect to the page.

Please notice that if you want to make this, you will have to guide after the 404.php core file and you will have to try the same implementation from there -> http://screencast.com/t/3lwIlaacR. Please notice that is not a simple task and most likely you will need some additional implementation for better results. So, if you are not aware of the steps in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because we cannot provide custom work at the moment, sorry!
