Seems silly but Visual Composer just won’t install. I’ve tried though Newspaper Plugins, accessing the zip file from my computer, re-loaded N7.3… all from Envato directly. All cases failed.
I get
Destination folder already exists. …/wp-content/plugins/js_composer/
Plugin install failed.
I checked for the folder each time and this ‘folder’ is there before installing.
This should be simple recent post. What am I missing?

It is as the error says, the folder already exists. Please access your site’s files via ftp and delete the ‘jscomposer’ folder from the plugins folder. Then you will be able to install it normally.
You had a previous version of visual composer and it was not removed entirely. The folder remained behind and wordpress needs to create a new folder with that name but provides an error if there is already a folder with that name present.
