Hello,
I recently discovered that I receive the following error when I test my post URLs using Google’s Structured Data Testing Tool:
“A value for the name field is required.” (view my test here)
Until recently (within months) my posts passed the validator just fine. However, if I’m not mistaken, Google must have changed the requirement for some schema markup.
Testing an article link on the Newspaper demo does not result in an error. I am currently using Newspaper version 4.6.3, and I intend to keep using that version.
If someone could perhaps provide a solution or point me in the right direction to fix this, I would appreciate it.

Unfortunately, your version of the theme is too old and please keep in mind that we no longer entertain the old versions of the theme with the new standard of Google but only the latest version of the theme is fully updated with it, sorry! I recommend you keeping up on our latest updates for our theme if you want to bring the best results.

Thanks for your fast response. I can understand why my theme is no longer supported. I’ll see what I can do to get it updated. Quick question: Would it be possible to keep the same exact appearance if I updated?

Unfortunately, the latest version of the theme has been fully changed to the 4 version and if you want to update it, practically you will have to begin from scratch with your theme customizations, sorry!
