Hi, this appears to be a minor bug. I have what I want so this is just a heads-up!
The setting in the theme panel to show the date on single posts has no effect. The only way to switch on dates on single posts is to switch them on for blocks. I’d assumed that the setting for posts was separate.
My workaround is to switch on the date setting for blocks then use CSS ‘display:none’ to hide the date from the grids where I don’t want it to appear.
So I have what I want, the date on some modules where I haven’t used ‘display:none’ and on single posts.
Anyway, it works for me so thanks 🙂
Hello donmcleman,
Please check the theme panel at these sections -> http://screencast.com/t/3sbeDI44pv -> http://screencast.com/t/CJopW8kPqgN
If is not what you mean, please provide more details.
Hope this helps!
Thanks.
Hi, yes, this is the setting I mean. Toggling it off and on makes no difference.
Donald
Thanks, Catalin. I’ll work through these things. I really assumed it was a bug.
Hi Donald,
Please ensure that you are using the latest version of the theme (Newspaper 7.4) with the latest version of required plugins, clear all your caches, purge CDN and test it again. If these settings still no appearing, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your log-in information (wp-admin) so we can further inspect it closer. Also, please provide the link of this topic so we can easily identify you.
Thanks.
Thanks, I’ll look into this at some point. Got to update first of all.
I really thought I was just being helpful in pointing out a bug 🙂
