Need Help On Sidebar Customization

Hi,

I understand that the index.php (Main Page) and single.php (Blog Posts) share the same template settings. However, is there a way for me to show the sidebar only on my blog posts without having to go into each blog post manually to add a sidebar back in? I have close to 2500 posts.

I understand that but what I’m trying to do is set up a sidebar ONLY for the blog posts (single.php) and not the index.php. Does that make sense?
