I have been trying for a week now to get my ads system to work. I really want ads on my website, no matter how i place the code from google adsense it won’t show advertisement. I tried to follow your full guide to get ads to show in the sidebar on the home page and other pages, but it just leaves a blank space, besides that i tried putting the code in the articles top, and also there it just leaves a blank space on top of the articles written.
I een tried building html widget and put the code in that, and even though it still just leaves a blank space.
I checked that i created the adsense correct, and for hosting im using http://www.one.com
I hope you have a solution for me, so that i can show ads on my website.

If this ad shows up, it means the theme does it;s job in rendering ads.
Try your ad on a wp default theme inside the post content or using the adrotate ad and see if the theme has anything to do with it. Provide a link to your site so we can inspect these ads as well

When im using the code that you gave me, it shows the ad perfectly.
But your code is WAY shorter than the code from google adsense.
The one they gave me was:

But when i use the code from google it still just shows the blank spot and no ads.

Please do not post sensible information such as your ad code here on the forum :). I edited out the important part.
As you have already tested with the ad I provided, the theme does it;s job in rendering ads. Now it;s google;s turn to provide them. The google ad seems to be in order. Please try to use adrotate (plugin) and implement ads using the plugin. That way you will rule out the theme altogether. If the ad plugin does not render the ad as well, then you must contact google.
But if it;s a new ad, and you only got approval a few hours back, you will need to wait a bit longer as adsense can sometimes take up to a few days to show up.

I tried using the adrotate, but it still won’t show up when im using the code in that one. Still have any ideas of what could be wrong?
Maybe im not using the adrotate right, i don’t know. But i used it as a widget.
As a new update. I can make the advertisement work if i download the adwords plugin for Widgets. But i can only show it if i put it in one of the footers. It’s a widget so i cannot use it in articles and on pages but only in the footer area and sidebar. That’s not exactly what im looking for. 🙂
I tried adding it to the sidebar, but then it won’t show, just like when i put the codes directly in theme panel that comes with the theme.
Now that you know a little more, maybe you can find a reason to the problem.
What we know now is:
:The ads won’t show if i put the code into theme panel areas like sidebar, article head and those kinda places.
:The ads won’t show if i use adrotate plugin.
:The ads will show if i use adsense plugin for widgets, but only in the footer area and not in the sidebar. Since it’s a widget i cannot use it inside articles.
Hope that we can find a way to add ads to the articles and the sidebar.
Try changing the url for adsense to https://
It still doesn’t work :/
If i move it to the footer area it works, but not when it’s the sidepanel or inside articles.

What type of adsense is it? Is this a standard adsense ad or something else like a page-level ad. Please check the documentation for your type of ad and see if it requires any special type of implementation. This has to be documented somewhere.

Its a text & picture in responsive.
I just followed all the recommended settings when i made it, so that it auto corrects to the size and stuff.
So its just the std.
You say you used adrotate and it still does not work. Adrotate is a separate ad system that excludes the theme. So maybe there is something not theme related affecting it. Please switch themes and test your ads on a different theme. Use a standard wp theme and see if the ads show up. If your ads do not work on a wp default theme as well, If the ads do not work on a default theme as well, then you should contact google.

No adrotate just puts a blank space like when i use the function in theme panel.
But when i put ads in the footer via adrotate, google adsense plugin or html widget, then it shows ads. But it still won’t show in the sidebar or articles no matter how im trying to do it.
The only place i can get ads showing is in the footer area.
Im using the theme demo: travel-blog from Newspaper.

The sidebar and articles have a smaller width so you maybe need to adjust the size of your ad from here: http://screencast.com/t/JncOkNKlk9 If your ad is 728 px, then it will not show in a sidebar as the width is much smaller and it will not show in the post content as it;s only 696 px wide. Please select different sizes for your ad from the theme panel and see if hey show.
