How do I get Big Grid 1 to crop thumbnails so it fills in all the blank space?
As of now, the longest edge of the image is sized to fit, and the short edge falls short of the alotted space for the thumbnail.
Hopefully my description was good enough, I can try and post screenshots if not.

Please first make sure your images are bigger than the thumb used in the big grid as the featured image is not enlarged by our theme, only cropped.

The images are already bigger than the thumbnail, and I just regenerated all the thumbnails, but the problem hasn’t changed.

Please also make sure you clear cache and reset cdn files
Also please check any image optimization tools you might have on your site. Plugin conflicts can also affect images;. So please check the plugins as well. You can try to disable all of them except visual composer. clear cache and reset cdn files.
