I can’t figure out how to utilize a unique sidebar for bbpress.
I’ve followed the guide, created a new page, added in the shortcode to display the forum. In the “page template settings” of that page I’ve set the new sidebar via the “custom sidebar”. When viewing the page the forum is still using the default sidebar.
More curious is that if I delete that page entirely the forum still works (i suspect this is because of the default bbpress functionality). So what I think is happening is that despite the page and bbpress having the same permalink the page with bbpress isn’t loading but rather exclusively the forum is.
What am I missing?
