Actually a new plugin version of visual composer is available.
Usually it is important to update wordpress plugins asap because of security reasons.
Can i buy a wp bakery licence an update it automatically? So it could cause theme errors but i think security of a professional blog is more important.

Well, two things
a) you could buy plugin and use with theme, if not using a feature conflicting with latest version of theme
b) just because a new plugin version is “available” does not mean it’s for security purposes, or that it will even work right
You need to learn to
1) view ‘changelog’ for new plugin to see WHAT actually changed; and if it’s even relevant to your use case
2) check plugin support forum to see if known issue or security flaw actually introduced with new version that was not there before (this HAS happened!)
Don’t presume that a “new version” must be installed “right now” — as it may not be necessary or even safe to do so. Similarly automatic updates are generally not good for WP as things break and best to keep track of what changes actually get made and how they interact with other things (e.g., full dot versions of YOAST SEO traditionally have bugs and best to wait for second dot revision, as one example).

If you want to buy the plugin to get access to plugin support from the developers, you can but we do not recommend using any other version that the tested and approved one with our theme. Right now the latest version tested is 4.12.1 which is the latest version the plugin author has released: http://screencast.com/t/EznDBR02H6DX We update visual composer along with the theme updates so if you do not have this version, please use the guide you posted and update your plugin from the main theme package.
