Dear tagDiv team,
I have a question/problem that I can’t seem to resolve by myself.
To make my page multilingual I am using WMPL. The site is originally in Latvian (I have translated it through your theme’s option). The second language is English.
The top-menu language switcher worked just fine until Newspaper 7.3 update. Then it became nonresponsive. I tried to put the widget in a different menu – it works. Just doesn’t work in the top menu.
Do You have any suggestions how to solve this?

Thank You!
Hello 1234.LV,
Unfortunately, the WPML plugin is not part of our list of tested plugin with the theme and we have no idea about the theme behaviour with this type of plugin and also, we cannot say for sure if it will work or not with the theme, sorry!
I do not know what type of plugins you use for translate your website but please notice that we cannot provide support in this regard, sorry! We have made some tests using the qTranslate X and seems to work fine with the theme but we cannot say 100% because this is not a fully tested plugin with the theme.
Thanks for the message and for your understanding!
Hello Catalin!
Thank You for the information provided!
In the last updates there haven’t been any changes that would change the properties/functions of the top-menu bar?
Hello 1234.LV,
All the improvements which have been done in our latest update can be found here -> http://screencast.com/t/VGuKnxVZQd at Changelog section from this link -> https://themeforest.net/item/newspaper/5489609

Hello, Catalin!
OK, thanks for he support!
I’ll look in to it.
Hello –
Did you find a solution to this problem? I am experiencing similar behaviour. All is ok in the original language (English) and the WPML language menu / widget shows in the “Top Menu” but it is not possible to select any other other languages (Spanish or German).
Any ideas?
Many thanks and best regards,
Neil.
Hello Neil,
Yes, I found a solution. Just upgrade the WPML. I now have the ” WPML Multilingual CMS 3.6.1″ version. And with a little bit of tweaking the language switcher can be again in the top bar.
Hope it helps!
