You can wrap the ad div in a background color.

Hi,
Our theme does not provide such a feature. You can place a custom link on a background image from the background ad section of the theme panel: http://screencast.com/t/X7snLfyRUDg but there is no option to place an adsense on the background. You can try to use and ad plugin that maybe provides such functionality.
