I’m not sure how to change the width of block quote.
I have left-centered block-quotes of quotes with translations underneath, and the spacing is all messed because in the editor I have to press enter to get the text I want below the block quote (the text renders to the right of the block quote instead of below it).

I’m not sure I follow. Please provide an example. make a few screen-shots of how you are implementing it in the back-end and how it displays on the front-end. A link will also help.

I don’t know how to add screenshots here. But if you go to the website on desktop, it doesn’t look right. The text on the right is supposed to be intermittently below the text on the left. It’s a function of screen size; it renders correctly on mobile and when I collapse the desktop screen size.
* below the block quotes on the left, not to the right of them. On the back end, I’m just making block quotes and putting text below them. But it changes after I post it (the paragraphs appear next to the block quotes instead of below them)

Thank you Bogdan. I resolved this problem by making the block-quotes “center” instead of “left” and changing the CSS within the “center” block quote.
