Hi, I am using Visual composer to build the site. I have a simple design (http://wordpress-7749-67064-181310.cloudwaysapps.com) I want to expand a bit the middle content so the gab between the left and right widget are like 2px or 5px apart.
is this possible?

I guess that you want to adjust the gap between columns of your blocks, right? I have inspected your website and I saw that you are using the Block 4. Notice that we do not recommend to increase or decrease the gap between columns because you can break the layout. Our Block look like this -> http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-4/
If you want to make some additional customizations you should do it yourself because we cannot provide custom work at the moment, sorry!

Hi, I build my site in visual composer and chose BLOCK 6 for the main news. for some reason its not doing the 2 columns images with news etc, take a look at the site
The block 6 is located after the slider and banner in the middle of the site. by the left small widget
