post editor photo size problem

i have my blog settings > media set as:

  • mid thumb: max 500px
  • large thumb :max 1024px
  • before installed Newspaper Theme, when i insert a photo in post editor and choose mid/large thumb, everything works ok.

but after i started using Newspaper Theme, the image size selector in post editor became:

  • small[150]
  • mid[300]
  • large[640]
  • which is the default settings of wordpress, and the source code shows:

    [*/uploads/2016/11/image00###-1024x###.jpg” width=”640″/]

which means wordpress resized my photo to large[1024], but added the default large width[640] to the photo.
if i disable the Newspaper Theme, the post editor worked well again.
how i can solve this problem?

    Hello,
Our theme will not use the default wordpress thumbnails. The theme uses the theme thumbnails. If you leave the image on full size, the theme will use thumbnails for these images automatically as a 696×0 for the content with sidebars and 1068×0 for the non sidebar layouts.
The thumbs in the wordpress settings are ignore except for this one: http://screencast.com/t/Ml8YBuYH6 Make sure you leave the default thumb to 150 x 150
    Thank you!

    Hello,
We are aware of this but the theme does not use those thumbs. You can set them to anything you want in the admin panel but they will not change on the post itself. Our theme will use different sizes for images, not the default wordpress image sizes. Sorry, but there is no simple way of using the image in the dimensions you want. The theme uses thumbnails that will convert the size of your images. We suggest using the images in their full size and let the theme use it;s default thumbnails 696 or 1068. Other thumbs will not position properly in the layout. Those are the layout borders so your images will fit properly along your text length.
    Thank you!
