I am using the social counter widget to display a Facebook Like option for my users. I’d like to the user to be able to click “like” and not be redirected away from the site. This seems like standard behavior. Facebook themselves provide the code for this (developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/like-button). I’ve tried rendering their code via shortcode and putting into your theme but it renders on posts ok, but not on custom pages. Is there a way to make your social counter widget work in a similar manner?

No, I am not looking for a like button for an individual post. I want to include a like button to a specific page on facebook. This link would remain the same on every page.
Our theme does not have any like option for pages. Only for posts. You will have to search for a plugin that can provide such an option.
