About 4 hours ago I purchased Newspaper 7 from Themeforest, and then downloaded it. Then I uploaded it to the Themes folder in the file manager of my Hostmonster account. The template wasn’t recognized and the message in wordpress under Broken said “stylesheet missing.” So next, I deleted the Newsprint folder from the Themes folder using the file manager in hostmonster, to start over.. So tried a second approach to upload the theme from within WordPress, using the upload template feature. I was unsuccessful a second time…Wordpress message says “Package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet.” I have not seen this happen when installing other templates. Please advise on how to handle. Thank you.
To add to my previous post, there is a file called “style.css” located in the Newspaper template folder named “Newspaper-Child.” I don’t know if that has any baring on this, or if it needs to be moved.
Never mind, I figured this one out. Had to go within the Newspaper file to find the actual Newspaper.zip file and upload it.
