is there a way to visit external site without leaving our site ? I mean lets say I click on an external link and the newsmag topbar remains constant but below part opens the external site.

You can do so using iframes. You would need to wrap a div or target iframe with the external URL being that iframe content target. Basic HTML, nothing to do with the theme.
Some sharing sites do this, like Stumbleupon.
Of course, some of us more savvy folk in the news business use top target sniffers to reload our pages without another site’s content bar on top, to ensure no confusion on where the person actually is for security purposes.
