Revolution Slider Version

Hi,

I was wondering, the current (latest) version of the Revolution Slider is 4.5.6.

With the latest version of the Newspaper Theme, the supplied version is 4.3.8.

My question: can I use the latest version (4.5.6.) of the slider with the Newspaper theme? Or do you guys advise to always use the version of the slider that comes with the theme?

The version of the slider that is supplied with the theme is a bit old. But maybe this is because it works best with the theme?

Can I expect trouble when using the latest version of the Revolution slider?

I’ve found best to use version with theme, as it’s “tested” to work with everything. You could probably install new version, TRY IT, and if it doesn’t work, just go back to the included version.

I’m sure the support team may have more definitive answer.

Hi,

There shouldn’t be any problem, you can try and as Christopher said you can always go back to the previous version.
