The title pretty much says it all.
What Happened: Sidebars are not showing on Category or Post pages when assigned through the theme panel
Steps to reproduce:
– Create Custom Sidebar in category/posts section of theme panel
– Create Custom Menu for sidebar in “menus”
– Add “custom menu” widget to custom widget in “widgets”
– Assign sidebar menu to “custom menu”
– Assign sidebar to category/post in theme panel
– View Post/Category
– Bang head against desk 🙂

The last part is a normal process in the life of any web developer 🙂
Ok, first, please try not to use any symbols or language specific characters as wordpress will strip the sidebars of any content if any symbols are detected.
Do any other widgets show up or is it just the menu element?
Also, it could be a plugin conflict so please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.

Ok I did all the things. Still no luck. Can you point me to the relevant files in the theme that handle the sidebars? I can do some sniffing on my end as well.
To add a little more context. The default sidebar widget work fine, just the custom ones are broken. Also Any widget put into the custom sidebar widget does not display on the front-end

The side-bar is not showing in the posts and I have tried everything that I could think.
– Disabled all the plugins except the visual composer.
– Tried reversing all the things I did before it was working.
– Also tried to use chrome inspect to see the problem. I think it is just failing to load.

Please provide an example of how you are implementing the sidebar on that page. On pages you must split the row in 2 and either ad block elements or a widget sidebar element and select a sidebar from the widgets area of WP.
Please provide more details to how you are implementing the sidebar.
