Block slide and number of post in category

I am trying to use the block slide on my home page, but have noticed that even though I only want to show 1 slide, it will only show if I have more than one post in the category chosen to show in the slider.

Is there a way to get this to work with only one post in the category?

Secondly how do I remove the left and right arrows when showing only one slide?

Hi,

You can set a post limit in the Slide settings like this – https://www.screencast.com/t/lwlXtOmkekw resulting in a single post displayed in the slide. To hide the left/right arrow in the slide use this code, enter it in Theme panel->Custom Css

.td_block_slide .td-icon-left,
.td_block_slide .td-icon-right {
display: none;
}

Thanks for the css information.

The other issue I know I can limit the number to 1 slide which I gave already done.

My issue is that if I only have one post in a category say Featured Category, no slide is displayed, if I have 2 post under a category it works as expected

Hi,

It seems that this is the way Visual Composer Slide element works since it is a slide basically. You could add a second post to the said category while maintaining the 1 post limit, then control the post displayed using the sort order – https://www.screencast.com/t/VFmaVsNlU

Yes just worked out how to get around it, as my post count goes up it won’t be an issue, but seems a bit of as hack with small site and only s few posts.
