showing some "featured posts" on top of the archive page

I am considering to set up some “featured posts” on a top of archive page.

I mean that “there are some posts which should be showed up on top of category page for all time.”

By default, posts are just showed with newest under a chosen grid.

I would like to show featured posts on the “CATEGORY TOP POSTS STYLE” grid as fixed.

Please let me know the way to do this.

All best,

Hi,

I thought I need to explain more about what I would like to do.

I just found on this documentation, there is a option to set the category “Featured” to show the page by a dropdown box.

This is not what I am looking for.

Instead of showing the dropdown box or normal “grid” to list latest post on top, I would like to “fix” to show specific posts (ex:3 or more) on top of category page.

I reconsider to use visual composer to to this using the page but it would not work.

Please guide me if this is possible.

Hello,

Unfortunately our theme block elements will ignore sticky posts. The featured posts can only be used with the featured category in our theme. The sticky featured posts that will remain on top always is not possible using our theme content blocks and modules. Using visual composer is not possible on category pages as well.

Thank you!

If you can answer this question, please do so.

I consider to use one of plugin which enhance the “category page”.

The plugin is capable of “visual composer”.

My consideration is to use this plugin and set “fixed & selected featured posts” on the description of category.

I am trying to do this but the plugin is not really working so cannot try it on yet.

Do you think this will work as I want it? Or is there any problems you might think of?

Please ignore if you do not feel like to answer…

But I hope your team enhance this plugin the way users want! Again, thank you for your great theme, I really love it!

Hello,
It’s not that we do not ‘feel like answering’ but since we have not tested the plugin there is little insight I can provide. We have no idea of the plugin implementation or code. It could work or it could not. I can’t say for sure. If it’s a free plugin you should test it out with a bit of trial and error and see if it works or not.
Thank you!

Hi,

I must apologize for asking you such a question…

I knew what you answer will be.

I tested, but it did not work.

Anyway, thank you so much for your reply.

No problem!. We are happy to help if we can but I cannot help with something I have no knowledge about.

Best of luck on your project!
