Everything displaying as fullwidth

Everything is displaying as fullwidth and the sidebar doesn’t seem to be working.

For example the social should appear to the right of the “don’t miss”section.

Hi,

This could be happening because of overlapping css styles, if you are using a child theme please disable it and see what happens. If that does not work try disabling all the plugins except Visual composer and also check any custom code you might have entered in Theme panel->Custom Css.

Disabling the child theme worked. How do I go about customizing the theme without using a child theme though? Or is there a way I can use a child theme safely?

Hi,

I edited and removed your password from the first post. Of course you can use a child theme, just make sure you update it to the latest version along with the theme updates and also you can disable it if something goes wrong. For minor customizations you can use the Custom Css section in the Theme panel. More about the child theme if you want to read here – https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-child-theme-support-tutorial/
