I’m terrified to update, as I’m worried that it will erase all the changes I’ve made to the theme and I’ll lose my blog posts. (My site is finalfatloss.com.)
Will I lose content/work I’ve done on my site if I update?

Theme updates don’t remove your settings nor content.
In any case, it’s good practice to always take note of every change you’ve made to files or settings.
Your posts are safe in the database and are not removed by a theme update.
