"Source name" and "via name"

Hello!

Quick question: What are the fields “source name” and “via name” used for?
It’s not to show where the original content can be found, since they are “nofollow”, right?

Hello alex06,

The Source and Via class are created in td_module_single_base.php core file like this -> https://www.screencast.com/t/HTvWo2dV and if you want to set them on your front end, you can do this from Post Editor, like this -> https://www.screencast.com/t/pzT7LYrrR
If is not what you mean, please provide more details about your problem so I will be able to provide a more accurate response.

Thanks for your reply. The question is not of technical nature. I am just curious what the fields are being used for. I assume it’s just to show the readers where the content was first published?
The links are not set as a canonical URL?

These fields are used by users for posts if the content of these is not original and using this, they can be added to the source of these information/content.
