We have some trouble with the SSL on our website due to the Social counter links.
all Links (facebook / Twitter ect) are in http.. can we change this to https links?

Please remove the social counter and create it again as our theme is fully ssl compatible but after you move to ssl, some elements will have to be recreated

I reinstalled the plugin (first deleted it and installed the plug-in with the new ZIP from theme download.
Still same errors: A lot of http instead of https with facebook and twitter

I suppose that you are referring to your social icons and do not to Social Counter, right? Please keep in mind that you should add your link with https:// in Theme panel, Social Networks area like this -> https://www.screencast.com/t/qtd1lczP As Bogdan said you above, our theme is fully compatible with the SSL and you should add your social networks link with https.
If is not what you mean, please provide more details so I will be able to provide a more accurate response.
