Hello,
When using Smartlist 2, it looks like the photo alt attributes are stripped out. I can’t seem to see them when using “inspect element” and SEO tools are telling me I don’t have alt text for those photos.
Please advise.
Here’s an example of a post

Hi,
Unfortunately that is the way the smart list were designed, as it can be seen in the demo also – https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/smart-list-style-2/ and at the moment there is no solution in this regard. More information in this topic here – https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/images-in-smartlist-are-missing-their-alt-and-title-attributes/
Thanks
Hello Simlon,
I’m a bit confused. How come I managed to get alt text in the photos in this post?

Hi,
It is true that in the example provided the images have an alt attribute. But this does not come from the theme, as I mentioned before there is no alt attribute on the images in the smart list. It seems the structure of the smart list where there is an alt text on the image is different – https://www.screencast.com/t/9iwUesom9WI from the default one – https://www.screencast.com/t/CCUUT3zqqP7 Maybe the image was inserted in the smart list a different way, or a plugin is affecting this but I can not say for sure how.
Thanks
