Hi all
Excuse me for my ignorance. I can’t seem to find similar posts to this one.
I’m looking to optimise my site a little bit. Ref: http://www.allhorrorfilms.com
If you see the featured images at the top. They are all different. What is the ideal size for this?
pixel x pixel
Thanks 🙂
n00b here.
Hello,
There is no ideal image size as our theme will create thumbs for each images. The recommended image size is at least 800×600 px. It depends on the container you plan on using the image in. The image must be at least the size of the container it will show up in.
Please make sure you regenerate thumbs if you have not done it after switching themes: https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/
It is best to have images with the same approximate dimensions. Now you have both portrait as well as landscape images. For the overall style of your site , you should use image proportions close to each other.
Thank you!
Hi, we probably have the same problem. The articles are posted via email (postie) and it seems that the images are not being cropped properly. See https://rmn.ph
Thanks Bogdan, we actually already followed that and our old articles were updated. Problem is the new ones aren’t also following the cropping set by the theme. Any suggestions on how we can solve this?
Hello,
This means you probably have an image optimization tool that interferes with the theme thumbnails that does not allow newly generated thumbs to be created properly. Please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Also please check any external optimization tool you might use on your site. Then try to add a new post with new images and inspect the cropping.
Thank you!
