How to create a site in multiple language?

I want to create my site two different languages. I know that TagDiv’s Newspaper theme do support Hindi language but how to display it on the same domain without assigning any subdomain or new folder?

To describe what I mean to say- Here is a gif:

This gif is created from https://www.wittyfeed.com/ ; this site gives an option to select among three languages. The remarkable part is no matter what language you choose; it doesn’t change or redirect you to a separate subdomain or folder. The domain remains same. Only the content and their language change. How does it happen? How can I do it on my site as well?

Another example: https://timesfare.com/

It appears to be done by Javascript. Can anybody help me with this?

Thank you.

Hi,

From what I can see on that respective website, when you click on another language option it changes the content not the language. If you try to go to a post page, there is only the native language available in which the post was created and no translation is being made regardless of the language chosen.
Maybe you can find a plugin that you could configure and use, if you would like to be able to translate your whole site content live, by the click of a button.

Thanks

Hi Simon,

Thank you for giving it a look,

Yes, you are right, it does change the content, not translate the same content.

I also want to do so the same, I want to create the my same site for Hindi Language audience too, which will have different content written in the Hindi language ( not translated from English)

I have two specific question.

1. I can create a new category, folder or subdomain where I will publishHindi language content, but I want it to appear on the primary domain. So, as per above example, no matter whether the selected language is English, HindiHindi or Spanish, the URL of the Homepage that appears on the top is always same ie. http://www.wittyfeed.com
How do they do so?

2. We do the Hindi language available on NewsPaper theme. What if I select the Hindi language under language option on this theme, will it automatically translate my English content to Hindi or will it give me the option to write new content in the Hindi language? How is it different from Google translator or Google Hindi Input tools?

Is there any known way to you to do what http://www.wittyfeed.com has done with language selection option?

Thank you.

Hi,

You have to consider that everything is possible if you have the right amount of time to do it. If you would like to achieve something like that you can start by inspecting the respective website
https://www.screencast.com/t/ilcZuvrTz
Then further document these elements
https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/JavaScript/Reference/Operators/void
https://www.w3schools.com/angular/ng_ng-click.asphttps://docs.angularjs.org/api/ng/directive/ngClick
But please note that this could prove to be a difficult task and you may need to get professional help if it is the case.
When you use the translation feature available in the theme, this will translate all the strings which are present on the frontend of your website – https://forum.tagdiv.com/loading-translations/ or you could manually translate certain elements – https://forum.tagdiv.com/customize-a-translation/
This will not change anything else on the website or add any other language capabilities.

Thanks

I have been using Prisna WP Translate to translate our English Site to other languages on the fly.

You can give it a try at:
https://cowboylifestylenetwork.com/

It translates on the fly from English into:

Spanish
Portuguese
French
Russian
Japanese
Chinese
German
