I set up the social counter on the newsmag theme, but for some reason the access token for facebook won’t generate, even after I entered my id, app id, and security key. It just says “please wait…” but nothing happens. I went directly to my facebook developers page and got an access token and put it in, but the social counter still shows 0 facebook fans although in truth I have over 200. Twitter and Google + are accurate, only facebook is having issues. Please help with this asap.

There seems to be an issue with the access token in the current version of the social counter.
Please download this version: http://cdn.tagdiv.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/td-social-counter.zip
And very important: clear all your caching including the browser cache. Example for chrome: https://www.screencast.com/t/f9Q66lPx1fY
Now the access token should work as before.

Social Counter for me stopped working as well. Replaced the Plugin with the download provided above. But it just says:
Wait..
App ID and secret are 100% fine.
No caching.

Please make sure your Facebook page is public and you added the correct id in the social counter as this guide suggests: https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-social-counter-tutorial/
Also clear all caching after you set it up.
If the counter still does not work, please provide a link to your site so we can inspect the counter
