Good afternoon,
I bought the Newspaper template for my website http://www.raquetc.com and there are two things I’d like to change/improve:
1) is it possible to hide the post views when a user visits the site? Or to only made them available for the website admins/editors…?
2) the social networks plug-in isn’t being able to create a Facebook Access Token. I Googled a bit but didn’t find any solution…
Thank you very much,
Gaspar
Hello gasparlanca,
1)Unfortunately, the theme does do not have any such an option for this. You should only disable all post views for the entire website. Also, if you want to hide a post viewpoint for a specific post, you should use a bit of CSS code to do that using the post ID.
2)There seems to be an issue with the access token in the current version of the social counter.
Please download this version: http://cdn.tagdiv.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/td-social-counter.zip
And very important: clear all your caching including the browser cache. Example for chrome: https://www.screencast.com/t/f9Q66lPx1fY
Now the access token should work as before.
Thanks for the message!
Good morning,
Unfortunately the pluging still doesn’t work correctly for Facebook. It says Facebook Access Token Get Access TokenPlease wait… and nothing happens.
As for the post views, then I’d like to disable all post views for the entire website. Can you please tell me how can I do that?
Thank you for the fast support!
Hi,
The social counter plugin provided should work properly once you have cleared the browser cache. Maybe something else is interfering with this process. You could try disabling all your plugins except the social counter and Visual composer, clear the cache again and check to see if you are able to receive the token.
Please make sure you are using the account information as mentioned in this guide as well
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-social-counter-tutorial-2/
Also you could give it a try in a different browser, as a test.
To disable the post view counter you need to turn them off in theme panel

Please let us know how it goes
Thanks
Hello,
Tried what you said and now it generates the access token but stil doesn’t show the number of likes. Is this “normal”? Is there anything else I can do? I used a different browser (safari), like you said.
Regarding the post views, they’re now deactivated. Thank you!
Sorry, just one more question: do you know if it’s possible to show not only the date of the post but also the hour? Or if there’s a plugin that allows me to do that…
We’re a news website so it would be great to add that so our visitors now the original date/hour of the first publication (so we can inform them if we make changes to the articles and at which time).
Thank you!
Don’t know what happened but everything’s working fine now. Thank you!!
I am having the same issue.
I cleared my cache so that I get an access token, however it is showing that I have 0 Facebook likes.
Has anybody managed to resolve this? (This used to work fine on Newspaper 6 🙁
I have managed to resolve this.
I had the incorrect Facebook ID which I noticed when I hovered over the Facebook icon.
